The Baking Product · Founded 1978
We supply the pantry. You make the work.
For nearly fifty years we've held one job: to bring the best of European and Latin American patisserie to the Gulf, in good condition, on time, at a price our chefs can build a recipe around.

01 / Almost fifty
A short history
Family-owned since the start. Same warehouse, same business model, steadily-expanding line card. Most of our customer accounts have been with us for more than fifteen years.
1978
Founded in Manama
Originally a single-line agent for Martin Braun. Operated from a 30 sqm storefront on Government Avenue.
1992
Cold-chain warehouse
Moved to a temperature-controlled facility in Hidd. First in Bahrain to offer mixed cold/dry delivery to bakeries.
2008
Multi Brands
Line card expanded to its current depth. Cas̄a Luker, Ponthier, and HUG joined the roster.
2024
Second generation
Handover to second-generation family ownership. New atelier-style showroom in Adliya opens for chef demonstrations.
02 / What we believe
Three working principles
i.
Selection over scale
We add a brand only when it's better than what's already on the list. We've removed two houses in our history; we've added three in the last decade.
ii.
Cold-chain is the product
A great butter or couverture broken by warm transit is worse than a mediocre one delivered properly. We invest where it matters: temperature.
iii.
Chefs over customers
We sample, we train, we deliver technical sheets in three languages. The line card is built to make pastry work easier — not to maximise margin.
03 / Chefs we serve
In their words
"
The cold-chain on Fléchard sheets is the thing nobody else gets right. We took our croissant turnover from 18 to 12 hours after switching.
Karim Saleh
Head Baker, Pâtisserie Atelier — Adliya
"
Ponthier purées arrive at the brix they say they will, every time. Our sorbet recipes haven't been re-calibrated in three years.
Lina Habib
Pastry Chef, Le Comptoir — Seef
"
We treat their warehouse as an extension of our pantry. Order Sunday, set up Monday.
Chef Yusuf Al-Mahmood
Pastry, Four Seasons Bahrain Bay
